Like the mention below, the transfer portal is such a poor idea. Basically Caden Pinnick attends UCD for one quarter and then wants to move on. Is that correct?
Yes. But why is it okay for Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin to bolt to LSU for crazy money, taking his assistant coaches with him? What about his commitments to his recruits?
Why shouldn't college players be allowed to seek their market value in college? Football is an injurious sport with longterm health risks. D1 football and basketball is basically pro-am sports. Assistant coaches at Georgia make a million bucks. SEC schools throw insane amounts of money at head coaches.
Having lived in Athens, GA and experienced Dawg Nation, I saw national caliber talent penalized by the NCAA because they traded bowl jerseys for tattoos, autographs for a few bucks. Talk about exploitation.
Can't blame him after watching former D2 QB Trinidad Chambliss, now Ole Miss standout, beat Georgia. Pinnick, like Dawg QB Gunner Stockton, may have a questionable NFL future. The portal affords Pinnick a chance to cash in now.

Agreed, it is way too much about money, very sad.
The transfer portal works both ways. UC Davis should try to bring in Ohio State backup Lincoln Kienholz, a native of Pierre, SD.
The transfer portal is why I'm no longer a fan of college football.
