UCD defense struggles down the stretch as two-game win streak is snapped
UC Davis played superb defense in the first half, but it all fell apart down the stretch as the Aggies suffered a stinging 80-74 defeat to UC San Diego in Big West men’s basketball action Thursday night before a disappointed crowd of 1,475 at the University Credit Union Center.
The loss drops the Aggies to 4-4 in conference play and 11-8 overall, while the Tritons are now 5-3 and 15-5.
The Aggies entered the game with a two-game win streak that had moved them within one game of league-leading Hawaii and UC Irvine.
