Aggies take on Illinois State, seeking to reach FCS semifinals for the first time in school history
UC Davis has been playing football for 107 years - will this be the one where they win it all?
While UC Davis is in the FCS playoffs for the fourth time in school history, the Aggies have never made it past the quarterfinal round.
Head coach Tim Plough hopes to break that streak Saturday when the No. 8 Aggies take on unseeded Illinois State.
Game time on Jim Sochor Field at UC Davis Health Stadium is 2 p.m.
The game will be televised live on ESPN+ and broadcast live on 1140 Sactown Radio with Scott Marsh and Scott Gordon calling the action.
UCD brings a 9-3 mark into the game, while Illinois State is 10-4 as the only unseeded team still alive.
Plough knows that making it past the quarterfinals has been a bugaboo, even though earning a spot in the final eight of a 24-team field is certainly nothing to be ashamed of.
