Big Sky showdown looms as Aggies host Northern Arizona this afternoon

Injuries mounting as UC Davis heads into the meat of the conference schedule

Tim Plough knows Northern Arizona well.

The second-year UC Davis head football coach was a highly successful offensive coordinator for the Lumberjacks among several coaching stops before he came back to his alma mater at the start of the 2024 season.

Plough remembers his days in Flagstaff with fondness.

“I love Northern Arizona and I love Flagstaff. My wife and I were fond of the town. Our first son, Jackson, was born there. We’re big Lumberjack fans when they’re not playing the Aggies.”

But play the Aggies they will when the No. 16 Lumberjacks come to town this afternoon to take on the No. 6 Aggies.

Game time at UC Davis Health Stadium is 4 p.m.

Noted second-year NAU head coach Brian Wright of coming to Davis, “They have a great environment there and it’s going to be a big challenge for us.”
