You should know that with the many sports betting scandals that make us wonder which games are legitimate and which games aren’t, I am now under investigation from the FBI, the CIA, the IRS, Interpol and the KGB for giving out truly terrible betting advice to the American public.

Fixing games honestly doesn’t bother me if I know ahead of time which side the fix is on.

Rampant gambling on crazy and incidental stuff, which is what is going on now, will eventually ruin the sports we love.

In the meantime, a handful of people are getting very rich and a few others will be seeking presidential pardons.

This week’s picks, which are clearly not fixed, are as follows:

PITTSBURGH over STANFORD ... This is the Pittsburgh Panthers, not the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Panthers have become one of the better teams in the ACC as it turns out. The Cardinal needs Andrew Luck in uniform, not in a coat and tie.

MIAMI (Fla.) over SMU ... The Mighty Mustangs spent a ton of cash on this year’s roster, but the return on investment has not paid off. Several very rich oilmen are not pleased.

NOTRE DAME over BOSTON COLLEGE ... Some folks call this one the Holy Bowl, given that these are the only two Catholic schools still playing FBS football, but there is nothing holy about how Boston College is playing this season.
