Breaking news: Columbia River water is now flowing freely through California
Dramatic diversion of Pacific Northwest water took place during first week of Trump administration
As a son of the Pacific Northwest, I was thrilled to learn that President Trump has figured out a way to tap into that area's vast water supply to ex post facto prevent the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles.
Wrote the president the other day on his social media platform Truth or Consequences, "The United States military just entered the Great State of California and, under Emergency Powers, TURNED ON THE WATER flowing abundantly from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Enjoy the water California!!!!"
The next time the president plans to use that many exclamation points all at once, I hope he'll warn me.
Unfortunately, those naysayers at the California Department of Water Resources claim that, "The military did not enter California. The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days. State water supplies in Southern California remain plentiful."
All I can say about those DWR traitors is "Liar, liar pants on fire."
According to a report from the Associated Press, "One U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss military activities, said no active duty troops were involved in turning the water pumps back on."
Fake news, obviously. And trust me, that "U.S. official" is no longer a U.S. official.
Added the AP story, "There is no water supply from the Pacific Northwest that connects into California's system."
Again, bald-faced lies.
