City of Davis wants me to get the lead out

We’ve been assured our tap water is safe to drink - maybe

“INFORMACION IMPORTANTE SOBRE LAS LINEAS DE SERVICIO DE SU SUMINISTRO DE AGUA POTABLE,” said the title of a wordy six-pager the City of Davis sent to a random “RESIDENT” who apparently lives with our family in our East Davis McMansion.

But please do not let the Department of Homeland Insecurity know that my hometown is practicing the federally banned practice of DEI by printing critical correspondence in a language other than the Queen’s English that our dear president has declared to be our official - and only - language.

Oops, it turns out the City’s full-time envelope stuffer accidentally put the Spanish-language version of this correspondence ahead of the English-language version without first checking the language preference of the above-mentioned “RESIDENT.”
