No. 4 UC Davis staged a dramatic fourth-quarter rally that fell just short as No. 2 Montana State escaped with a tense 30-28 Big Sky Conference win and at least a share of the league championship Saturday night at a sold-out UC Davis Health Stadium.
The Bobcats from Bozeman are now 11-0 overall and 7-0 in the Big Sky, while the Aggies, who had their nine-game winning streak snapped, slipped to 9-2 and 6-1.
Montana State finishes its regular season next Saturday in the Brawl of the Wild against Montana, while UCD travels to Sacramento State.
