I can’t tell you how many people have complained to me about the proposed increase in our local garbage rates.

It all comes back to that word the president says Democrats have made up out of thin air - “affordability.” Can we afford higher garbage rates along with every other price increase we’ve seen in the last couple of years?

It seems like every month or so PG&E is talking about a rate increase to compensate it for its own misdeeds, which is an insurance policy all of us would like to have.

My home insurance went up, but the coverage they’re offering me remains the same. My car insurance went up, but the coverage they’re offering me remains the same. Our property taxes went up even though the grass in the backyard doesn’t grow anymore and the house is the same size it always was.
