ENDORSEMENT ENSCHMORESMENT ... I see Donald Trump has managed to purchase, I mean "obtain," the critical endorsements of Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. "Bear Killer" Kennedy, while Kamala Harris now has brought noted ultra-liberal Liz Cheney squarely into the Democratic fold.

These developments are likely to increase Trump's popular vote total by two and Harris' popular vote total by one, although RFK's vote will be offset by the vote of his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, for Harris. Hines reports that RFK's endorsement of Trump has definitely curbed her enthusiasm about this election.

The fact that Liz Cheney took so long to make up her mind dramatically diminishes the impact of her endorsement. Meanwhile, Daddy Dick Cheney finally joined his daughter on the Harris side today after seriously considering simply moving to Calgary.

As for the much-traveled Tulsi Gabbard, this is the same person who in the 2016 presidential campaign introduced Bernie Sanders to a large and enthusiastic crowd on the UC Davis intramural field just south of the Rec Hall.

Sanders, incidentally, had just had waffles with extra maple syrup at the Black Bear Diner on B Street and was so impressed with the food and the decor that he told the staff they should open an outlet in Vermont, which knows a thing or two about real maple syrup.
