How old is too old to hold public office?

The Aging Police are at it again.
These folks act as if there’s a magical line in the sand that, if crossed, means that people of a certain age are pretty much incapable of doing anything other than sitting in a Barcalounger in front of a TV they no longer know how to operate.
Yes, these mean-spirited folks seem to forget that they, too, like every other living thing on earth, are getting older by the day.
Yet when these mean-spirited individuals one day cross that artificial line between being fully human and simply leftover driftwood, they’ll be the first to complain when a younger generation tries to deny their dignity.
“Rahm Emanuel Calls for Age Limit of 75 for President, Congress and Judges,” said the headline in The New York Times, which, ironically, is itself older than 75.
