Sevilla's career night leads Aggie men to an 80-68 win over visiting North Dakota State
UCD guard hits 6 of 7 treys en route to a 26-point outburst
UC Davis overcame a ragged start with an inspired second half rally to take an impressive 80-68 win over North Dakota State in a non-conference men’s basketball game Wednesday night at the University Credit Union Center.
The win moves the Aggies to 2-0 in the early season, while North Dakota State, which opened the season Monday with a 67-65 loss at Oregon State, is now 0-2.
The Aggies struggled throughout a sluggish first half, falling behind 16-9 and looking for all the world as if they wouldn’t be able to keep up with the Bison, a traditional power in the Summit League.
But UCD closed the half with an 8-2 run to force an unlikely 26-26 deadlock at halftime.
“We got lucky to get out of there tied,” admitted Aggie head coach Jim Les.
