Bob, this is really great news! I don’t know if you remember but you and I talked about this very subject towards the end of the “comings and goings“ party over at the Oddfellow Hall. I said that you had been a long time influence on my own writing and humor, but I really wasn’t a sports fan. This is perfect for me and,I just became a paid subscriber minutes ago after reading the news. I was actually talking to a friend of yours this morning (who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent) and I said I really needed to upgrade to paid, Your announcement reminded me and it is now a done deal. Congratulations on the success.
I know you have been covering sports for a very long time and I'm excited to see your new reports. I'm sure they will definitely be better than anything I can see on the Davis Enterprise. The paper has been going downhill very fast. I'm not exactly sure why I even continue my subscription.

Philip - I have no idea what the Daily Surprise is up to in terms of sports. I wish them well.
I can say with certainty that no one will cover UC Davis sports more throughly or accurately than the The Wary One. I have 55 years of on the job experience to back up that claim. I will be covering all 12 football games, home and away, in person. No one else will be. You'll have to decide what's best for you. I'm not in competition with anybody or any entity. I'm simply giving my opinions on things as I always have. Whatever anyone else does is strictly up to them.

Probably won't be covering club sports, of which there are dozens, because there's only one of me. But, you never know what's available.
