If you don’t follow the City’s strict and demanding rules, you may be banished to Woodland

As a public service, because I deeply love anyone who takes the time to read my stuff, I will now try to decipher the detailed instructions from the City of Davis concerning the collection of everything that grows in our yards that we don’t wish to have hanging around anymore.

And I’m not talking about excess zucchini, which should be flushed down the garbage disposal uneaten as the most useless vegetable known to man. I mean, did you ever wonder why every gardener has extra zucchini? It’s because everyone likes to give it away and no one actually likes to eat it.

There are apparently only three things you are allowed to do in our town with what’s defined as yard waste.

First, you can chop it into tiny pieces and put it in your organics cart.
