Another thing to consider... how frequently Democrats demanded that we believe government officials when Democrats were in control of the government. So, now we are supposed to consider everything that the non-Democrat administration says as being a lie, and the videos are the truth? That sound very MAGAish to me.

I don't at all see Rittenhouse and these two ICE shootings as being the same. Rittenhouse was there to defend a family business from the protestors-rioters and was not there to harass and impede law enforcement. Good and Pretti were protestors-rioters there to harass and impede law enforcement. Rittenhouse defended himself against other armed protestor-rioters.
I do wish that ICE was not so quick to pull the trigger. I wish that for law enforcement in general. But, having a law enforcement family, I support them coming home rather than them dying so the criminal that would kill them comes home. That preference seems to be a problem with the left... almost like they would be fine with more cops dead for hesitating to pull the trigger because fewer suspects would be shot. I am not in favor of that. I will accept that there will be some unfortunate shootings by law enforcement to both keep the peace and keep them safe.
The problem with the media and the focus on the last mistake is the statistics for how many people have been shot (four - with two dead) given the number of apprehensions and the amount of harassment and interference they are dealing with. It is frankly surprising to me that more have not been shot.

He was most definitely a demonstrator. I don't see any evidence of him being a rioter.
Many of the January 6 folks were armed and many were most definitely rioters who assaulted the Capitol Police. Some even had a noose prepared for the vice president and were chanting "Hang Mike Pence," which used to be a crime. And yet President Trump pardoned every single one of them and called them patriots. So much for law and order.

What an horrific tragedy. Twice. Both of these folks were really fine people. Now many of our beloved veterans sick or injured have lost a wonderful, caring nurse to help them through. Now 3 small children are w/o their mom, including one who she had just dropped off at school. When an hour later he was taken to the principals office thats something he will never forget and from which he may never recover. Still there is what u can and cannot do. U can protest, film them, chant, sing even peacefully interfere. U can’t assault them , resist them physically block them with your car and instead of getting out of the car accelerate away not seeing that the ice agent in front of ur car has pulled a gun. U put your hands in view o/s the window and ask the nice ICE officer what do u want me to do. If he pulls u out of the car window, which they do regularly and throw u to the ground and maybe even attack u 20 or more protesters will film it, u’ll probably not get badly hurt, u probably will b detained but u’ll probably soon b released. And they will b the ones with hell to pay. As for Mr. Pretti same advise. But a bit more. U had been involved in a prior incident and u returned the assault on u with violence kicking out an ICE tail light, pushing an officer back. U lived after that one. On the day u died while protecting a fellow protester u pushed back again. And u had a gun in plain view in ur waste. And that is all the excuse they needed. They are vicious violent cobras and thats all they needed. Yes u had a permit our lovely Supreme Court says anyone, anywhere can carry a gun. But never at a protest, never when u know ul be confronted by armed ICE agents begging 4 an excuse to hurt u. I wish i could have talked with these good people. I wish i could have shared with them my 60s experience with all of this. I wish I could have shared with them how we learned to protest and confront by mentors and heros like Dr. King, and Joan Baez. They didn’t and now 3 children have lost their mom, veterans have lost their advocate and a community has lost 2 voices. We must strongly stand up to this, massively protest and shut down this country if we must. But we must be smart and we must be not submissive but non violent. Just like our heros taught us
